Comcast Expands Service in Peterson Pulaski Industrial Park
March 2, 2016
Comcast has added about two miles of fiber optic network in the Peterson Pulaski Business and Industrial Corridor, spanning from Bryn Mawr Ave. north to Peterson Ave., and from Pulaski Rd. west to Lowell Ave. This would not have been possible without the involvement of the PPBIC members.

For many years, area businesses have been frustrated by the lack of high speed internet service in the corridor. It not only delayed business operations, it put the businesses there at a competitive disadvantage. PPBIC member businesses, along with Alderman Margaret Laurino, brought this issue to the forefront with Comcast, and Comcast responded. The infrastructure investment gives the businesses access to Internet speeds of up to 10 Gbps, along with a wide range of Comcast Business services, including Ethernet, Internet, Voice and value-added cloud services.

The new fiber is a significant upgrade which augments the existing T1 lines and provides more reliable Internet service. This level of investment in our technology infrastructure will help the Peterson Pulaski Business and Industrial Corridor compete with other business corridors in the city and suburbs, as well as attract new businesses that require access to high-speed, high-capacity data networks, and a host of other IT services.
