Sign up for citywide manufacturing job fair on May 18

PPBIC is joining forces with our fellow Local Industrial Retention Initiative (LIRI) agencies to host a community job fair.  It will be held on Thursday, May 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hatchery (135 N. Kedzie Avenue).

There is no cost for companies and jobseekers to participate. Employers are welcome to table for the entire event or part of it.

Businesses with open positions can reserve a table by signing up here.

Jobseekers interested in attending can register for the event here.

In addition to tables, there will be dedicated space for interviews in case a company would like to interview candidates.

It’s expected the following types of jobs will be available at the event: welders, assemblers, inventory control and forklift operators, industrial maintenance mechanics, convertor operators, EHS roles, T&D roles, healthcare positions, and food and beverage openings.

Lunch will be provided to businesses that participate in the community jobs fair. Also, our friends at the Industrial Council of Nearwest Chicago (ICNC) will offer an optional tour of the Hatchery.

More information can be found on this event flyer. Please share with anyone who might be interested in participating.
