Welcome

The Peterson Pulaski Business and Industrial Council (PPBIC), a not-for-profit economic development organization, assists in the retention and development of industrial companies in the Peterson Pulaski Industrial Corridor. We do this by serving as a liaison between the City and local industrial firms that may benefit from City services, programs and special projects.

We attempt to determine needs and provide information on resources that contribute to economic development and address the five industrial corridor objectives -- that they are safe, functional and accessible, marketable and competitive, attractive and manageable.

We aid in the expansion of firms and seek new industrial businesses for our area, and we encourage connections between the industrial firms and the adjacent community.

Industrial Corridor Snapshot. Located on the Northwest Side of Chicago, along Peterson Avenue and Pulaski Road, is the largest industrial corridor in the sub-market. Home to several well-known manufacturers and surrounded by one of the largest single-family residential districts in Chicago, the Peterson Pulaski Corridor reflects the diversity that characterizes the city's Northwest Side. Housing and industrial uses coexist in a stable, educated community that's directly connected to the city's highway, rail and commuter transit systems. The amenities are enjoyed by more than two dozen corridor firms with nearly 3,000 workers, including many employed by CCH Inc., a publisher of tax and business information and software; Cozzini, a manufacturer of food processing equipment; Labelmaster, a manufacturer of products for the safe transport of hazardous materials; and Midco, a manufacturer of power burners and the EmberGlo line of gas and electric broilers and food steamers.
